Welcome to the Southern California Homebrewers Festival (SCHF)!

Join us for the ultimate celebration of craft beer and homebrewing at the annual SCHF! Held at the scenic Vail Lake KOA Resort near Temecula, this two-day event brings together homebrew clubs, beer enthusiasts, and their friends and family for a weekend of amazing brews, live entertainment, educational seminars, and exclusive experiences like Friday Night Pro Night, featuring Southern California’s top breweries. Festival Highlights:

Friday Night Pro Night:
Kick off the festival with a night dedicated to Southern California’s craft brewing elite! During Pro Night, enjoy pours from breweries like Beachwood Brewing, Bottle Logic, Pizza Port, Green Cheek Beer Co., and Societe Brewing Co. Meet the pros, try some of their most celebrated beers, and draw inspiration for your own brewing projects.

Homebrew Tastings:
Sample an extensive selection of beers from over 40 homebrew clubs. Talk to the brewers, discover their unique recipes, and gain insights into their brewing techniques. Taste the most amazing and creative beers, meads and ciders that you’ve ever had!

Live Entertainment:
Immerse yourself in the festival’s festive atmosphere with live music and performances all weekend long.

Educational Seminars:
Learn from the best in the business with seminars led by experienced brewers and industry professionals. Whether you’re a seasoned homebrewer or just starting out, there’s something for everyone to learn.

Exciting Raffle Prizes:
Don’t miss your chance to win amazing prizes! Past raffles have included high-end brewing equipment, rare craft beer collections, gift cards to top breweries, and exclusive homebrewing accessories. The raffles are a festival favorite and a fantastic way to score some incredible gear for your brewing adventures!

End of Year Competitions:
Show your support as clubs compete for the prestigious title of CHA Homebrew Club of the Year in the Bragging Rights Only Competition! This friendly but fierce competition challenges clubs to brew their best beer in a unique style selected annually. Witness the creativity and skill of California’s homebrew clubs as they vie for ultimate bragging rights.

How to Attend:

To join this exclusive event, follow these steps:

  1. Purchase a CHA Membership:
    The SCHF is a private event for members of the California Homebrewers Association (CHA). Memberships are just $10 and valid through December 31, 2025. Purchase your membership through the CHA Shop.
  2. Buy a Festival Ticket:
    After joining the CHA, purchase your SCHF registration through the CHA Shop. Early bird pricing is available, so secure your ticket early to save!
  3. Arrange Accommodations:
    Camping and RV sites are available at Vail Lake KOA Resort, but they fill up fast! Prefer not to camp? Temecula offers several hotel options. Take advantage of the free shuttle service from select Temecula locations on Saturday. Once your festival ticket is purchased, reserve your complimentary shuttle pass in the CHA Shop.
