CHA Best of Show Summer 2021
With the success of last year’s Fall Best of Show Competition, the CHA Board of Directors concluded this should happen more often! Given the lack of a Bragging Rights Only (BRO) competition in 2021, there will be two 2021 CHA Best of Show (BoS) competitions. Thanks to Syncopated Brewing for hosting this competition. Here are the winners of the Summer 2021 Best of Show Competition:

The Brewer’s Choice is selected by our partner craft brewer that judges with the Board of Directors. Chris Klein, head brewer of Syncopated Brewing, made this competition’s selection.
Here were the rules for the Summer 2021 Best of Show:
1) There will be five styles of beer accepted for entry. These styles will be judged according to the BJCP 2015 style guidelines:
❏ 1A. American Light Lager
❏ 1C. Cream Ale
❏ 8B. Schwarzbier
❏ 19B. California Common
❏ 23A. Berliner Weisse
2) Drop Off Locations at Dates:
Drop Offs Start June 23, and end July 7. The target judging date is Saturday July 10. Locations as of 6/12/2021:

3) Entry Rules
a) Every club can have up to two entries. Multiple entries must be in separate categories.
b) Every entry must be in: two individual 12 ounce bottles OR two individual 12 ounce cans. Alternative package formats will not be accepted.
c) Each bottle/can cannot have conspicuous labeling/marking. An entry form must be attached to each bottle/can with a rubber band. Entry Form: CHA Best of Show Summer 2021
d) All entrants must be dues-paying 2021 CHA Members. There are no entry fees beyond membership.
4) Entry Judging
a) Entry categories will be divided into no more than three pre-round tables. These tables will each award a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place entries. These three placing entries will move to a Best of Show Table.
b) The Best of Show Table will award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place entries.
c) Points accrued on all tables will be valid for SCHF Club of the Year points.
