BRO Competition Rules

Bragging Rights Only Beer Competition Rules

Each year, we have a Bragging Rights Only Beer Competition. This year, the style will be Stouts. Each club is allowed one Stout entry. It's up to each club to determine who will enter. It does not matter what style of Stout, as this is for fun and bragging rights only. Entrants will not receive a score sheet or any critiques.

As soon as a club knows who will be representing it, please let Marla Jo Booth know at TEXASMJ54@YAHOO.COM.

The first entry received from each club will be accepted unless we are informed ahead of time.

Each entrant needs to supply either a growler, 22 oz. bottle, or two 12 oz. bottles of their entry for the judging. Anything left over after judging will be shared with everyone hanging around, so come support this event.

You or a designate must pick up your growler or bottles following the competition at the competition site. Otherwise, Marla Jo becomes the proud owner of a lot of growlers along with their contents! She doesn't have a problem with that, but you might!

We would like to have the winning entry served on Saturday, at a time to be determined with the winner, so we can announce the winning brewer, and let everyone know what time the winning brew will be available for sampling.

Entries must be received between 8:30 and 8:45 p.m. at the Fest site {time is subject to change}. You will need to do the early check in (bring your id and membership confirmation email) in order to come into the fest site. They can direct you at the competition registration table.

The judging will take place at the Fest Site, following the distilled spirits tasting, roughly 8:45 p.m. {time subject to change}.

We expect the brewers from the microbreweries in attendance to do the judging!
